Beginnings

Hello!


Let us introduce ourselves; Albie & Oak is made up of two interior design students who both seriously considered fashion design before beginning an interior degree.


Our names: Grace and Alyce - Pleased to meet you.


Living and growing up in the same town (and our home town is not a big place!), we were both completely oblivious of the other, and each struggled to find the right creative outlet for our ideas. It wasn't until beginning our degree that we met, enlightened to each other's existence by some same-circle friends, and our similarities began to unfold.


When we discovered our similar interests in fashion design, we had a few serious discussions and decided that there was no reason why we couldn't do both interior and fashion. Both being avid Frankie readers, we were continually exposed to stories of creative people who had sat down and said "I'm going to do it all, damn it!" and they did. Albie & Oak is the culmination of those conversations, and our very own exclamation of self-belief.


So welcome to the blog of Albie & Oak. Here we'll post about our journey from the very first business meeting to the release of our first line, and any other things we come across along the way. We're very excited to be at the beginning of this path, and so happy to be able to share everything with you!
